PSLV-C46/Risat-2B Mission a Success, ISRO Places Radar Imaging Earth Observation Satellite in Orbit

ISRO today successfully launched PSLV-C46 from Satish Dhavan space centre in Sriharikota. PSLVC46 successfully injected radar earth observation satellite RISAT-2B into low earth orbit. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle carrying RISAT-2B weighing 615 kg lifted off from the launch pad at 5:30 AM and after 15 minutes successfully placed the satellite into the earth orbit.
