Two journalists jailed in Myanmar for breaking the Official Secrets Act have been released, according to their employer, Reuters news agency. The reporters, Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, were convicted in September 2018 and sentenced to seven years in jail. The case raised questions about Myanmar’s progress toward democracy and sparked an outcry from the international community.
