SWFL Eagles_First Breakfast Without E13~E12 Saves Self-Pulls Pelt Out & Re-Swallows 04-26-19

SWFL Eagles_First Breakfast Without E13~E12 Saves Self-Pulls Pelt Out & Re-Swallows 04-26-19 E13 was not seen in the pastures or surrounding area at daybreak or as M15 delivered a rabbit to the ground which E12 claimed. A sub adult was seen flying close over E12 as they ate on the ground. E12 took the food to the nest, ate quickly and swallowed the pelt. But the pelt got caught up with some of the tail hanging out. E12 worked hard to dislodge the pelt and pulled it back out successfully by themself. E12 re-swallowed the pelt completely the 2nd time.
Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining such suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com
