Husky Says His Own NAME! Teaching My Dog To Speak English!! I get asked a lot how Key speaks, did I teach him and how do I understand him. Well Key has been speaking since he was small and I've always encouraged him, it's adorable! He listens to what I say and what he hears on TV and tries to imitate the sounds, pitches and syllables, he tries to 'hoo' like an owl! Listening to him, it's sometimes easy to hear the "words" he's saying and some of it is up to interpretation.
