On First Take with Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and Jalen Rose they discuss The Golden State Warriors Kevin Durant. Should Kevin Durant have played in game 5? I think if Kevin Durant felt okay with playing, and he was cleared, I think it is okay. If Kevin Durant was not okay with playing, but the team forced him to play, then that is a problem.

I saw Kevin Durant breakdancing in a circle with his teammates just before they came out to play. So at that point Kevin Durant looked okay. Some people say Kevin Durant should not have played. Again, I think if he felt okay and he was cleared by the team doctors(even though team doctors have their own agenda) he should be okay. Some people say he might not be the same again, which could be a possibility.

I really hope Kevin Durant is going to make a speedy and full recovery. Kevin really showed some heart by going out there and playing. I will completely ignore anyone that says Kevin Durant is a snake, or is soft! It is not like Kevin went out and his presence was enough. No, Kevin Durant put up, if I recal, 11 points in 12 minutes, and went 3-3 from the three point line! I think Kevin Durant gave the Warriors a strong boost of confidence, even if he only played 12 minutes.

Now Kevin Durant is going to be known as having heart. Kevin will be looked at as someone who is a fighter and not afraid to play hurt. I like to use the example of Ronnie Lott. Ronnie Lott played defensive back for the 49ers back in the 1980's. In one game Ronnie Lott broke his finger, and he would need a bone graph to help his finger heal, but it would cost him playing time. What Ronnie Lott decided to do made him an instant legend. Ronnie Lott decide to amputate his finger so he would not miss any playing time, rather than he have the bone graph and miss playing time. You talk about sacrificing yourself to your team! Just imagine playing with Ronnie Lott. It would be kind of hard to complain about anything, when you are playing with a guy that cut off his finger to play football! It would not be a good look to call out just because you are sick when you play with a guy that is willing to cut off his finger to play football!

I seriously think Kevin Durant won the game for the Warriors. Obviously, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson balled out too. But Kevin reignited the victory flame for the Warriors. I think the Warriors are going to win the series, and I think a major factor in that was the 12 minutes that Kevin Durant played that changed the momentum of the series!

Overall, I hope Kevin Durant heals up nicely so he can ball out next year. I hope Kevin resigns with the Warriors so they can make another run at the Championship for a four-peat.
