Utd and Arsenal transfer target Meunier confirms interest from 'a dozen top clubs'

Utd and Arsenal transfer target Meunier confirms interest from 'a dozen top clubs' THOMAS MEUNIER has opened the door to a move to the Premier League by admitting he may leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.  Meunier is open to the idea of leaving the French champions if the right offer comes in - with Manchester United and Arsenal among the English clubs tracking him.  The Belgian international defender has one year left on his current deal with PSG, and the club risk losing him on a free transfer in 12 months if they do not cash in now.  And Meunier, 27, believes he could be available at a bargain price to any of the sides he says have shown interest in taking him.  Asked in an interview if he could leave on a free next year, Meunier told Le Parisien: "It's something that could suit me.  "I don't think the club would make a lot of money from me, actually.  "I have a market value, but I'm a defender, I play one game out of three and I'm turning 28."  PSG have already seen French international midfielder Adrien Rabiot run down his contract until the end of the last campaign ready for a free transfer move.  And Meunier believes he would be valued much less than his team-mate when it comes to a a transfer fee.  He added: "It's not like Adrien, who is worth €50m.  "There have been phone calls since January with interested clubs.  "There are a dozen clubs, all of which are in the top five of their leagues."  United are on the hunt for a consistent and quality right-back having seen Antonio Valencia leave the club at the end of last season.  They have been scouting other younger players to fit their ideal model of signings who can improve and increase in value - but will not rule out a cut price deal for a finished article if the price is right.  Arsenal are also looking to strengthen defensively, with boss Unai Emery aware that his budget is limited when it comes to financing the changes he wants to make.
