Europe - The Final Countdown (Obligatory 80's Metal Cover Pt.6)

Europe - The Final Countdown (Obligatory 80's Metal Cover Pt.6) As a teen, I used to brag about being able to play this solo. I was of course playing it wrong and just winging it in my own way but that was because I found it impossible to distinguish what I was hearing back then. Well, many years later I think I can hear what's going on and after dedicating some muscle memory to it, I think I've got it as close as I can. Killer solo from John Norum, who must have been no older than 22 years old at the time.

Of course, the song itself is a classic and I believe it was so good that the band had to use it as both an opener and closer in their sets at the time... :P

Some F.A.Qs
*It's a Charvel DK24 and it's Purple. (Yes, it could do with a polish)
*I use a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi09 going direct into my computer, recording onto Pro Tools.
*I purposely have my headphone cable like that so it doesn't get in the way.
