G20 Summit: Trudeau says leaders need to 'work together' on pressing issues Prime Minister Justin Trudeau talked about the importance of "working together" with other G20 leaders during a media availability at the close of the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan on Friday.

The prime minister also told reporters that he had addressed the detention of two Canadian citizens with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the summit, and that he had "constructive interactions" with China's leader.

On Friday, the PMO said it received “broad support” from European partners on the matter when Trudeau sat down with them.
