Madang Provincial Disaster Committee sends officials to assess damages on Manam

The Madang Provincial Disaster Committee sent a team of officials to Manam island today to assess damages caused by last Friday’s eruption.

Provincial Administrator, Markus Kachau, says the committee has to see and assess the magnitude of the damage caused and decided on the level of response they will provide.

The team comprised of the provincial disaster coordinator, Bogia District DA, police and two PNGDF personnel from Lae’s Igam Barracks.
