This market houses a blend of branded showrooms, garment stores and roadside stalls. If you've been looking for ethnic wear, just rush to Lajpat Nagar. it is probably the most resourceful market in the entire city and there’s nothing you won’t find in the narrow lanes. From ethinic wear to designer wears, kitchen utensils, home décor items ,fabrics, flashy borders, mix and match shops, hair accessories you will get everything here and that too at great prices. So let's get started.
As soon as you enter in this Market, you will find this very popular store Sri vastra, selling all kind of Indian clothes ranging from Fabric to beautiful Salwar Kameez, duppattas and much more. .There are various options to mx and match between the products, and variety that goes beyond one’s imagination. From chikan work, white-on-white detailing and delicate laces, to funky neon prints, brockets and georgettes, they’ve got everything.

Oposite to this shop, you will find maze of shops offering a massive range of pre-stitched, semi-stitched, and unstitched salwar suits. They stock salwar suits primarily in cottons, crepes, georgettes and other basic lightweight fabrics. This lane also houses majority of the tailors and dyers for some quick alteration or dye-job.And on the other side, you will finds many big stores for traditional wears. Also, you will find lot of road side stalls selling skirts, stoles and lots of Kurtis. The variety of kurtas in this market is equivalent to heaven for all those who love wearing ethnic.Price usually starts at 300 RS and goes up to 500, So you need to try your bargaining skills here. This does not exclude the availability of western clothes, you will find stores like incense, inner circle and Big C. These stores most of the time offer huge sale and discounts and you can get latest Clothes at very reasonalble price.
You are likely to be in this market for some or other wedding shopping. This market has it all.You will find so many shops selling Bridal lehengas and Designer Collections from shops like Malhotra's, Simran, Shakuntlam Kashish and many more.
There are few stores where you have laces, latkans, material borders, laces, all sort of accessories for ethnic wear. Just ask around for where you can get lACES and latkans, and the localities will give you the directions.
Lajpat Nagar is the best place to go if you have to buy wedding choodas or generally bangles for your ethnic wear. You will find everything from glass bangles to pattern and kadas. So you can pretty much do all the mixing and matching according to your outfits.. A lot of stalls give an option of renting the wedding jewellery. You can get the best of the best at the lowest price possible think 1000 bucks or so, and you’re set for your wedding day.
The central Market at Lajpat is also a market for a wide range of accessories. With a line of vendors selling jewelry such as necklaces, bangles, earrings etc., one can find something to match anything that is in mind.
The accessories do not end at jewelry, the market has a wide range of hair accessories, you will so many shops selling various kinds of hair extensions here.

Also, there are some big branded stores like Kins, Stilettos and Stush here. They have a lot of variety to choose from, and decently priced. But what I love more about these stores is that they even have slings, potlis, wallets and handbags. Kind of like a one stop shop.
Street shopping is the best, as the variety is unmatchable. There are 5-6 shops in the Central Market area which have everything from slings, trendy bagpacks, handbags, those big totes and bags, wallets etc. Basically they have everything imaginable.
Lajpat is very famous for ready made designer Blouses for saree and lehengas, let's check them out guys
Most of the shops at this market are of Fixed Price, which means bargaining is a little difficult thing to do at this market of Delhi. However, you can still try your bargaining skills and you are lucky then you may win. I loved the lehengas and blouses at this market. They were fairly priced and beautiful too.

Other than shopping, Lajpat Nagar market is also famous for food. Do try out the Raam Laddo, Dahi Bhalle and the famous Dolma Aunty’s momos when you are at this must-visit place to shop in Delhi.

This market remains closed on Mondays. The nearest metro station is Lajpat Nagar Metro Station.
