Is Elon Musk's idea to Nuke Mars really a good idea? Digging DEEP in to the math if it could work. Elon Musk is known for his sometimes crazy ideas. One of the recent ones he is floating about Mars recently is nuking the planet. Is this really a good idea? Let's dig deep in to the math to see if Mars can be terraformed, how much weapon power would it take, and how does that compare to the world nuclear arsenal?

The idea of terraforming Mars is not new in this way. It shows up in works of fiction like Surviving Mars, Kim Stanley Robinson's Red/ Green/ Blue Mars series, and others.
