Fishing After a Hurricane and the Lengths Fisherman Will Go To Just to Fish

Fishing After a Hurricane and the Lengths Fisherman Will Go To Just to Fish Talk about a group of troopers: this September 8, 2019 trip featured Andy, Min (aka Tony Hong Jr.), Ji, James and Don and these guys came all the way from Philly....make that an hour west of Philly! 4 hours to reach Just Fishing, my 32 Sea Vee.

They also fished the day after Hurricane Dorian's edge clipped Eastern Long Island. The day before this trip, the ocean featured 10 foot seas and the bottom was certainly churned up this day.

We fished Montauk, but the Bay side of Montauk and despite the wind and dirty water, we managed a handful of fluke and sea bass, including Ji's beautiful 28 inch, 9 pound fluke.

Despite these tough conditions, I don't think any of these guys would have taken this trip back. We had a ton of laughs, non more than discovering that Min had more than a passing resemblance to Friend of the channel, Tony Hong.
