NCP President Sharad Pawar is leaving no stones unturned to hit out at the NCP leaders who deserted the party at the time of the crucial Maharashtra elections. His speech at Beed however was perhaps one that hits these NCP turned BJP and Shiv Sena leaders below the belt. On the other hand, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis too is not leaving any chance to bring down NCP President Sharad Pawar for taking on the BJP and its recently inducted leader making it clear that the battle for Maharashtra is a direct contest between CM Devendra Fadnavis and NCP President Sharad Pawar.

At a time the NCP is plunged into a crisis due to a string of desertions ahead of the high-stake Maharashtra Assembly polls, party President Sharad Pawar has set out on a state-wide tour to reach out to the party's rank and file. Among the exodus of key leaders of NCP to the ruling BJP and Shiv Sena, senior party leader Udayanraje Bhosale exit remains the most prominent. A descendant of warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Udayanraje Bhosale quit his Lok Sabha membership to join the BJP.

While addressing a rally at Beed, NCP President Sharad Pawar has also asked the party defectors, who quit saying they wanted to ensure development of their constituencies, what they were doing for 15 years when they were in power. He said that he is confident people won’t vote for the leaders who are going into BJP and Shiv Sena ahead of elections.

CM DEVENDRA FADNAVIS RETORTS TO SHARAD PAWAR
NCP President Sharad Pawar also took a dig at Udayanraje Bhosale for quitting the NCP.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ensured that Udayanraje Bhosale entry into BJP remains one of the main highlights of this elections season. At the Maha Janadesh yatra, Udayanraje Bhosale was seen with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While the Chief Minister said that the BJP now has the support of the lineage of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He mocked at Sharad Pawar and said that because BJP doesn’t have a ruler but sevaks attitude, the people of Maharashtra is with the BJP.
