Boris Johnson is a 'colourful Pied Piper who struck deal for own ambition' - Lib Dem Tom Brake

In the House of Commons, MPs are debating Boris Johnson's Brexit deal with the European Union.

During this "Super Saturday" in Commons, the Lib Dems’ Tom Brake says the Prime Minister is a “colourful Pied Piper” who struck the deal to further his own ambition.

Brake says Boris Johnson himself has said the deal may not survive the transition period and could still lead to a no-deal crash-out

He advocates a people’s vote, referencing “the hundreds of thousands of people over there in Parliament Square”.

Brake urges MPs to support the Letwin amendment and reject the deal.
