In this Light Circle we continue asking Jesus—a symbol of the Light within—to help reveal desires below our level of awareness so they can be cleared in the Light of Truth. This video also contains a mini review of the movie Joker and the power of this movie—when seen and re-interpreted by Jesus—as a means for spiritual awakening and thus transcend the idea of personal identity. If Jesus reveals that we do have a desire to deny the Light below our awareness, we admit the desire and ask for a miracle, a change in perception.
In this session we look more deeply with Jesus at desires below our level of awareness for the experience of having a story. This is the desire to deny Light and thus true happiness—through belief in a story. We ask the Light whether there is a desire to have an experience (story) of falling asleep (and not recognize true nature) through a story line, the desire to attempt to understand what awakening is through a story, the desire for a story of mystical experience and the story of waking up from the dream to delay the recognition the Light that is already here. We look with Jesus at desire to experience an “other” through a story. When we look with him he helps us see that this is a desire for the experience of what is not happening—a story that never happened—and addiction to something that is actually nothing. The desire for a story is an argument with ourselves about who we are—a delay of recognition of what is here—Infinite Light.
After each desire is revealed we ask Jesus if there is more to see. If Jesus reveals that we do have any of these desires to deny the Light below our awareness, we admit the desire and ask for a miracle, a change in perception. If more time is needed to clear desires from this Light Circle, it is helpful to set aside time in contemplation with Jesus to hear his guidance for clearing through miracles or he may instruct you to join with a brother. In Jesus: A New Covenant ACIM, Jesus points to the power of direct experience of the Light within to clear denials of Divinity. He shares that all the beliefs that are denials of Divinity are given in A Course in Miracles, and translates these beliefs in ANC to denials so that we can look directly with him. In Light Circles we focus on the Light first, and in this Light beliefs and desires that seem to deny awareness of unconditional Love, our true nature, are quickly cleared. And if asked, Jesus will reveal the subconscious denials.
