Hybrid IT in Government: Deciding On What Cloud to Move To

Hybrid IT in Government: Deciding On What Cloud to Move To For its federal IT strategy, the new administration is continuing the emphasis on use of cloud computing established by its predecessor. However, cloud is a moving target for federal agencies. More cloud service providers have FedRAMP approval, and FedRAMP itself has evolved to accommodate a wider range of security requirements. Agencies are expanding the types of workloads they feel confident in moving to the cloud, as more applications emerge from modernization efforts. At the same time, however, agencies will not be able to give up all on-premise data center storage and processing power. This is where hybrid IT comes in.
