Why should incomes be equal? Incomes are perfectly equal in communist countries and nobody has enough to eat because there's no incentive to invest and produce and get ahead. Capitalism works specifically because it brings with it the promise of income inequality, the promise of being able to get ahead of others, and it's that promise that incentivizes production and investment and risk-taking and therefore grows a vibrant economy that benefits everyone who participates in it. And it does it without taking anything away from anyone else.
