This is how one community from Tsitsikamma in the Eastern Cape is turning things around. The older generation is passing down farming skills to young people to ensure the project thrives. Their efforts have also drawn the attention of the private sector and government.
Thirty-five food gardens have now been launched in the area with the main aim to implement similar projects country wide. There are also plans to empower these members sufficiently well to open enterprises in the nearby future.
