Waters in Venice rise again after damaging floods Just two weeks after the worst flooding in Venice's history, the waters are rising again. Tourists in heavy boots waded through St. Mark's Square today. The water at high tide peaked at more than 50 inches. The monthlong floods have damaged half of the city's 120 churches.
