I'm here to talk about addiction. It's not easy. In fact, it's a very touchy subject. I have never been addicted to drugs or alcohol, but they still changed the course of my life and that's what I want to talk about.
The opioid crisis is rampant in our area. Everyone knows someone who is either addicted to or has been affected by drugs and alcohol, yet everyone thinks it's a secret! No one wants to talk about.
It has to be talked about, folks.
A few things I've learned over the years are 1. You don't have to be the product of your circumstance. You are in complete control of your mindset and you can use your situation for good, or bad.. it's entirely up to you. And 2. Talking about your experiences helps other people realize they're not alone. Helping others heal has helped me heal, and I'm eternally grateful.
So friends I beg you.. please help me put a stop to this. We have to talk about it. We have to help each other. We have to end addiction.
