Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the field to go to the toilet while Arsenal were losing to Brighton
The more things change at Arsenal, the more they stay the same.
The Gunners slumped to yet another dire loss on Thursday night as their startling slide extended to nine games without a win.
A late Neil Maupay goal was enough to see Brighton home as resounding boo's cascaded down from The Emirates terraces following the final whistle.
he fact of the matter is that Arsenal just aren't very good at the moment and, unfortunately, the sacking of Unai Emery has done little to turn their ailing fortunes around.
And, speaking of ailing fortunes, there was a bizarre moment during Thursday's clash that saw captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang mysteriously leave the field before resurfacing a few minutes later.
His side were forced to defend with ten men in his absence and interim manager, Freddie Ljungberg, confirmed that Aubameyang had made a mad dash for the toilet.
“He ran off and came back two or three minutes later,” said Ljungberg.
If you feel bad you feel bad, it’s nothing you can change.
I actually didn't even notice he went off, I just saw him come back on after he'd been off for a couple of minutes."

Oh, Arsenal.
In the midst of chasing a goal, Aubameyang popped off to answer the call of nature while Ljungberg failed to notice that his captain wasn't even on the pitch anymore.
Incredible.

The north London side will be desperate to kickstart their season when they visit West ham at the weekend with fans already considering this season a write-off.
Languishing in 10th on the table, having earned just 19 points from their opening 15 games, something has to change.
Initial signs suggest that, after two disappointing results, Ljungberg is not the man to arrest the slide.
The real question is this though, who on earth can?
