FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Mechanical Systems II: Pick and Place Device Design Parameters:
The overall design goal is to design build a modular device to pick up 5 lb weights from a set location and place them in a box 30 cm away from the set location. The square box will have a lip of 50 mm and will have sides 1.5 times the largest dimension of the weights. The system will be powered by only 4AA alkaline batteries and a DC motor to be provided. The main modules to be built as separate units are the motor, the gearbox, and the pick and place device (Dr. Patrick Hollis FAMU-FSU College of Engineering).
