Is A Canon HYBRID Coming - New Patent May Provide Over 20fps

Today we look at a brand new Canon Patent that may provide burst rates of over 20fps with a mechanical shutter while still providing mirrorless functionality via Live View Mode.

Are Canon and Nikon, camera manufacturers, working on camera hybrids? No longer having to decide between mirrorless vs DSLR... One camera that contains the best of both worlds?

This patent shows that Canon is not putting their DSLR lineup to pasture as of yet and are actually putting R&D into making DSLRs better, faster and maybe the bases for a future hybrid camera line.
