Top Left: Raw video.
Top Right: Default ReelSteady settings.
Bottom Left: Best performance for cinematic freestyle type of flying.
Bottom Right: Same best performance but with the Horizon Lock option enabled.
Bottom Left are the settings which i'm using from now on.
The Raw video was shot in 2.7K 4:3 which is the best for ReelSteady because then is has more horizontal lines to work with and doesn't have to crop that much. I squashed it to make it 16:9 to fit the final video.
My final conclusion is to let ReelSteady do a less stabilizing then the default (slider 3 steps to the left), and let it crop a bit faster (slider 3 steps to the right). And for that gimbal style of video, same settings but check the Horizon Lock box.
Video is shot on a Gopro Hero 5 Session on a 5" quad. Gopro was mounted very loosely in a TPU printed mount, flapping around to eliminate high pitched vibrations going to the gyro of the Gopro.
