Hi I had stretched the chain cleaning lubing adjusting too far now. Busy and lazy. But it had to be done.
So thought it would make for an interesting demonstration on how chain behaves.
Took some work but recorded first with chain mucky/dirty. Second - cleaned it and recorded again. Gear shifts were smoother when compared and less noise aswell.
Third - just lubed the chain and recorded another vid. Results was slightly smoother gear shift. Finally adjusted and recorded again. And this is how it is supposed to be. No noise and super slick gear shifts. Have compiled a vid for all 4.
Properly adjusted and maintained chain does lead to a longer chain set life cycle. But more importantly it leads to much better ride quality and gear shift. A loose chain that is snapping around is not only noisy but also makes gear shifts harder and clunky.
