TxDOT Rural Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) The RTIP meetings are designed to inform local governments and the public about mobility solutions that will help shape our rural community. Feedback is gathered to help prioritize projects and areas of interest. The Rural TIP conveys regional agreement on the need and priority of transportation projects, so all parties involved can be sure they are making the best investment for the community. These can be local projects, such as sidewalks, bike lanes, transit services, pavement repair, or regional projects such as lane expansions, road improvements, new highways or freight projects.
