3 DAYS OF TABLET

3 DAYS OF TABLET click bait, kind of:

this happened on the 3rd day of going back to tablet, i've sniped my own mouse score on an aim-intensive map. i've been playing mouse for 1 and a half years, but i've finally decided to stick to tablet forever now. i've played with tablet 2 times before but i gave up both times because i've never bothered to learn it, my grip was terrible and i had no idea what to do. now i've popped on some grip tape, added smoothening and somehow my aim feels a lot better on tablet.

mouse was a lot of fun, my aim felt snappy and was really nice to play with, but my mouse grip deteriorated over time and i don't know why. i kept mouse drifting and i can't land jumps that are triangles/squares or across the map like 8-10 stars so i've truly given up on mouse.

one thing that I noticed with my tablet playstyle is that i no longer alternate out of habit, i used to alternate a lot on mouse even on slow bpm (but mostly sliders) because my aim had more flow when i don't have to focus on stamina usage when single tapping. now with tablet, muscle memory builds up so that no matter where you aim the pen, it will for sure aim in the exact same place where your pen is located - mouse moves the cursor relative to the cursor's position on the monitor whereas tablet moves the cursor relative to the area on the tablet. this is the reason why mouse players (not all) but most tend to have a big cursor because it's easier to calculate relative distance to the mouse cursor amongst the movement of the mouse itself. with tablet you can rely on muscle memory, aim feels more natural rather than calculated - with mouse you have to almost always pre-emptively adjust your aim and direct given the circumstances of: the current mouse drift and distance from each hit circle. for this reason, tablet aim feels so much easier no matter how wide the jumps.

at the moment my tablet aim is still crap, i can't complete sliders properly (literally look at the sliders in the video idk how they've been completed) but aim snapping feels pretty good, it feels like mouse - though i suppose that thanks to my mouse habits still sticking with tablet, and the smoothening drivers and the fact that im dragging makes my tablet aim similar to my mouse aim. all i gotta do is learn how to draw those slider shapes....

total hours on tablet (approx): 5 hours (1st time), 3 hours (second time), 5 hours (now) = 13hrs total playtime on tablet
