This video demonstrates to customers how the parking brake on an Outlander PHEV will NOT release if an un-belted driver presses the accelerator but WILL release if a belted driver does so. This video was created for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV customers who are concerned that the electronic parking brake on their PHEV will disengaged unexpectedly. Gary Campbell, owner of West Mitsubishi, demonstrates that even pressing the accelerator on the vehicle will NOT release the parking brake UNLESS the driver has been seat-belted into the vehicle.
