CCTV footage from the Robinson mall in Lopburi, central Thailand, shows the man carrying a pistol with a long silencer approaching a counter just before 9pm local time on Thursday. He shoots a shop worker and the young boy – seen moments earlier walking with his mother – before jumping on the counter and snatching trays of gold necklaces. Regional police commander lieutenant general Ampol Buaruppon told reporters that the man came into the mall alone and opened fire at a security guard who he came across and then started a shooting spree that killed three people and wounded another four.
