Building an Electric Sailboat pt 2 | ep #92

Building an Electric Sailboat pt 2 | ep #92 Part two of our Electric Motor Install. Todd and Rusty manhandle the motor into place after building the motor mounts in place. Later we finish removing the broken teak rub rail.

Our motor is made by Electric Yacht and is a Quiet Torque 30. It will be powered by wind and solar, and we have a back up 5 KW generator if needed.

[ About Us ]
We are a budget conscious family of six from Alaska who decided to buy a hurricane damaged sailboat, fix it up, and sail around the world. We are doing the refit ourselves, learning as we go. This includes replacing the diesel with an Electric Yacht Motor and the standing rigging with Dyneema as we work to create a new sustainable lifestyle.
