Whilst anti-Muslim bigotry does exist, the term Islamophobia (why do we never hear of Christianphobia or Atheistphobia?) is far too often used to silence legitimate criticism of Islamic extremism and Islam itself. We don't have active blasphemy laws in this country but give Islamists an inch and they will take a mile. I am pleased the government rejected the term but this is not over- 
Why 'Islamophobia' is a hugely problematic term.
