Coloured string will be available soon! Stay tuned.

Hey guys! Today I am going to add colour to a diagonal pattern which is created using double half hitch knots. I’m starting with the coloured rope on the outside of this pattern but as I tie my knots the coloured rope will be used as my filler cords and as a result will work it’s way to the middle of my work. Let’s get started.

Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 7 diagonal double half hitch knots working down and to the right.

You can see here that the coloured cord has travelled to the middle of our work - this is a neat feature of the double half hitch knot.

I am going to tie 3 more rows on each side for you so you can see how the colour travels from the outside to the inside of the pattern.

Thanks so much for watching!
