My xj's internal voltage regulator stopped working in the ECU, resulting in the alternator failing to charge the battery. If you are having charging issues even after replacing your alternator, battery, and cleaning all the connections for the charging system, then chances are the issue lies with a faulty internal voltage regulator in the ECU. It seems there's some videos on how to repair ECUs for jeeps, but I couldn't find any on how to open one up
