Russia Launches Powerful X-ray Telescope into Space

Russia Launches Powerful X-ray Telescope into Space Russia has launched a new telescope into space to conduct a complete x-ray survey of the sky by 2025.

If successful, Spektr-RG telescope will become the first Russian spacecraft since the Soviet era to operate beyond the orbit of the Earth, and the first one to map the entire sky.

A Russian Proton-M rocket propelled the cutting-edge telescope to its final destination, the L2 Lagrange Point.
