1935 CHEVY STANDARD 2 DOOR - HAS THE NEW ' TURRET TOP '

1935 CHEVY STANDARD 2 DOOR - HAS THE NEW ' TURRET TOP ' The Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe are American passenger vehicles manufactured by Chevrolet between 1933 and 1942 to replace the 1933 Eagle. It was the more expensive model in the Chevrolet range at this time, with the Mercury and Standard providing a cheaper and smaller range between 1933 and 1937. The new styling graces all steel " Turret Top " which replaces the canvas roof top used for many years. The Master Deluxe models us an 206 cubic six with 80 horsepower and the Standard models get a 181 cube with 80 horsepwer. Prices ranged from $ 465 for a Standard sport roadster to $ 695 for a " Knee-Action " suspension equipped for a Master DeLuxe four door sport sedan. This year, the 10 millionth Chevy , a 1935 Standard four door sedan is built and then donated to the city of Flint, Michigan for their police force. Model year production dipped less than one percent to 548,215 units placing Chevy once again behind arch rival Ford. This restored Chevy has only two modifications that I can readily see, mod wheels and a Chevy V8 engine under the side opening hoods. The interior is completely factory including the dash gauges and the upholstery. Note the spare tire mounted on the rear and dual taillights. Another stellar year in sales as this handsome example shows. Thanks for viewing.
