Bernie Sanders Asked To Distinguish His Ideology From Socialist Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro During the Democratic debate that took place between 10 of the best polling candidates in the primary, top contender Bernie Sanders was asked how his ideology of Democratic Socialism differentiates from the Socialist ideology of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The Vermont Senator responded by calling Maduro a "vicious tyrant," then explained how his ideas are drastically different, specifically mentioning all of his Progressive, populist, social Democratic ideas, compared to Maduro, who's considered a far-left Socialist.
