Not registered any case: Govt on FIR against 49 celebrities who wrote to PM on ‘mob lynching’ Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 05 (ANI): Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, clarified that the government has no role to play in the FIR against 49 celebrities who had wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi against ‘growing’ mob violence. “Government has not registered any case,” Javadekar said in Lucknow where he held a press conference. The letter raised the concern of increasing cases of mob lynching in the country. Recently, an FIR has registered against those 49 celebrities for ‘tarnishing the image of the country and undermining the impressive performance of the prime minister.
