Register for future webinars on ChildHub: Dr Judie Gannon, Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management (Coaching and Mentoring) Business School, and Dr Peter Jackson, Senior Lecturer in Adult, Professional and Lifelong Learning at Oxford Brookes University discussed in an hour-long session the concepts of mentoring and coaching, explaining differences between the two concepts, as well as key principles any mentor or coach should know.
Doctors Gannon and Jackson also presented the Guidance on Coaching and Mentoring Practice for Child Protection Professionals, they have developed in cooperation with Tdh Albania. The session reviewed how to make the best use of the Guidance in practice and improve your coaching and mentoring skills. They shared their extensive experiences of working with organizations from different fields, the challenges organizations face concerning setting up and implementing effective mentoring/coaching support and some good practices to address those challenges.
