So that is pretty much where the mechanical performance aspect of this car ends.
From mechanical specs alone, I don’t think Toyota is taking the performance aspect of this car too seriously. Ill reserve my thoughts on the TRD for when I do that review. But lets get into aesthetics cause honestly I think Toyota made some big moves in this department.

Starting off on the outside, it has a super bold front fascia. It looks similar to the Lexus front grill with the exception of the color matching panel that spans across the grill. The front lip gives it an even more aggressive look but I would actually be concerned with scraping it on harsh dips. With that said, it’s a polarizing design and I am just happy that Toyota is trying a more edgy look as opposed to its past looks which where known for being bland and dated. This XSE trim comes with the Day time running lights and they give this car a futuristic look.

Going on to the side I really like those 19 in rims and think they look especially great with this color. The body lines on this car actually look sleek and tie in nicely over the rear wheel and into the rear tail light. Not to mention the side skirt is a good touch.

Going around the back, you have a tasteful color matching lip spoiler, and blacked out badging. Coming from a guy who would plasti dip his car badges, seeing this from Toyota makes me really happy. When you take a step back though there is a lot going on. For those saying a quad tip exhaust is too much, ill refer you to the Subaru wrx. I honestly don’t quite get the black trim that comes off the rear taillight. If I had to change one thing on the rear it would be to black out the rear diffuser.

Ok now for the important part, the interior is honestly amazing. The red is totally in your face but if you like red interior this is perfect for you. The quality was what impressed me the most. Look at the seats you have that touch of grey stripe in the middle which, in addition to the contours really make these seats look sporty. The dash is well designed and driver centric which I like. You have your 8 in infotainment display which has apple carplay and android auto. The center arm rest is really comfortable and ergonomically puts your hand right on the shifter. On top of that you have your drive modes and park brake right below it. Going on to the steering wheel the biggest thing outside of the control buttons is the paddle shifters. We’ll see how that performs on the drive. The gauge cluster is sport and you hve a nice display in the middle which shows you a ton of info like fuel consumption and cruise control settings. One last tech feature I want to point out in the front is the qi wirelss charger. One thing you do have to do is actually press the button to turn it on but honestly, I wish it was always on and you just need to put your phone there for it to start charging.
The back is really roomy and you get good ventilation in the rear. Ok that’s pretty much all the highlights of this car, lets hear it rev and take it on a drive
