Glowing LED problem technical explanation with 5 possible solutions

Glowing LED problem technical explanation with 5 possible solutions I haven't got round to writing a proper description but the problem is due to the way the wiring capacitances add or subtract with a susceptible bulb. This video is long overdue but I will polish it up and reupload at some point soon.

Other than the suggestion of getting the correct bulb the other solutions unsuitable for non electrically qualified people. So for the other solutions you must consult a qualified electrician.

If you consider the capacitor route I would suggest 10nf X1 Y1 mains class cap and no greater than 100nf as you will start to need to consider a safety bleed down resistor to dissipate any residual voltage in the cap.

as described location is critical as well as shrouding any exposed conductors within a suitable mains rated enclosure such as the light fitting or pendant enclosure.
