This year Australia Awards–Africa through the support of the Australian High Commission in Pretoria hosted an advocacy workshop with various alumni with disabilities or working in the disability sector, from across the region, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Alumni met with representatives from South African non-profit organisations, working in the disability sector, to discuss the challenges that they faced and to explore opportunities for a more inclusive and supportive environment in their industries as well as within Australia Awards–Africa.
