After a freefall in the past two days, the mercury climbed up on Sunday by about 1°C. The Met office, however, said that despite the rise, the mercury will continue to remain below the normal mark. At 12.4°C, the minimum temperature was two notches above the normal. On Friday, it had dipped 3°C below normal to hover at 11.6°C. According to the Met office, moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, light fog and a partial cloud cover prevented the mercury from dipping further.
