In today's video, we are going to talk about the three essential components of a good practice session.

1. Creativity. You can use a backing track to work on this and in my opinion, the best backing tracks for creativity are backing tracks that use only one chord. Start singing and look for musical phrases that inspire you.

2. Theory. This is where you make sense of things. Analyze the intervals in your phrases so you know how to apply them.

3. Technique. By working on your technique you can play what is in your mind effortlessly. Look for things that don't sound very smooth and work on the particular technique to achieve that smoothness.
