Abstract:
Jason Nichols will present Walmart's Visual Product Recognition (ViPR) system, and explain how and why they came to use a Siamese network to recognize the hundreds of thousands of products carried throughout their stores. This talk will cover both the motivating business cases, as well as the technical implementation. Specifically, he will present the Recognition and Verification models, as well as the enrollment workflows, and how it's been operationalized into their Intelligent Retail Lab.
